Tony N. Daniels

Tony N. Daniels, 70, went to rest, 5:20 pm Tuesday, November 16, 2010 with his family at his side. 



He was born on December 28, 1939 in Mounds, IL, the son of Herman F. and Kathryn (Wilson) Daniels. 



He married Sue A. Green on January 7, 1957 in Edwardsville, IL.  She survives.



He was a manager at Olin Corporation for 43 years, retiring in April 2005.  He was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ.  Everyone knew Tony spent endless hours working tirelessly on his yard.  He was also a jack of all trades, enjoying wood carving, working with tools and fishing.  Most of all he loved his family and spending time with all of them.



In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Greg and Rhonda Daniels of Cheyenne, WY and Jeff and Kim Daniels of Bethalto; three daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and Jay Bennett of Bethalto, Tammy and Rick Pollock of O’Fallon, IL and Debby and Shane McCoy of Bethalto; thirteen grandchildren and their partners, Amber, Matt and Lindsey, Mindy, C.J. and Brittany, Nick and Sarah, Khara and Brandon, Kelsi and Chris, Cassey, Trevor, Sam, Evan, Kyle and Chris and Kara; eleven great grandchildren, Haileigh, Gage, Peyton, Cadence, Sophie, Madelyn, Quentin, Brayden, Lola, Bryce and Brynnlee; a sister and brother-in-law, Vivian and Jesse Masterson of Bethalto; a brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Cheryl Daniels of Moro and several nieces and nephews.


He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Wilma St.Peters. 



Visitation will be from 4 until a memorial service at 6 pm on Thursday, November 18, 2010 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto with Pastor Lori Shaefer officiating.



In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. John’s United Church of Christ Organ Fund.
