Toby Cook was born November 28, 1954 and passed away March 18, 2025 surrounded by loved ones. He was a beloved brother, uncle, and friend whose life was filled with love for his family, a passion for fishing, and cherished memories of time spent at Rockaway Beach. Toby was a lifelong fan of the Minnesota Vikings and had a special admiration for the legendary John "The Duke" Wayne.
Toby was preceded in death by his father, Roy Cook, his mother, Blanche Cook, and his siblings, Terrie (Cook) Skelton, Ted Cook, and his niece, Toni Skelton. His passing leaves a void in the hearts of his surviving family members, including his brother, Tom Cook, his sister, Trudy Brown, sister-in-law Jo Cook, his nieces and nephews Jeff Skelton, Jason and Jenny Skelton, Travis and Amy Cook, Ted Cook Jr., Tim and Crystal Brown, and Tyler and Sarah Brown, Lisa and Lathy Martin, Tommi and Jacob Thien, Brandy and Ron Severns, his many great nieces and nephews and friends who adored him and will miss him dearly.
Toby was fortunate to have had the care and support of many wonderful caregivers, including Krystal Leverett, Lawana Forgy, Elisha Davis, Jessica Logan, Angela Balch, and Rose Hines, whose compassion and kindness brought him comfort in his final years.
Toby's warmth, generosity, and love for his family were at the center of his life. His vibrant personality and love for the outdoors, especially fishing at Rockaway Beach, will forever be cherished by those who knew him. Toby’s unwavering support for the Minnesota Vikings was another hallmark of his spirited nature, and he enjoyed watching every game.
Toby will be remembered as a kind and loving soul, whose memory will live on in the hearts of his family. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to all who offered their love and support during this difficult time.

In celebration of his life, visitation will be from 10am until time of services at 12pm on Monday, March 24, 2025, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. David Severs will officiate. Burial will follow at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
