Theresa McDonald

Theresa Ann McDonald, 89, died at 5:53 a.m. Friday, September 15, 2023 at Cedar Creek of Godfrey.  Born October 24, 1933 in St. Clair, PA, she was the daughter of Felix and Mary (Pollack) Tophoney.  She married Gerald Joseph McDonald.  He preceded her in death on June 15, 2019.  Mrs. McDonald worked as a CPD Attendant for Christian Northwest Hospital in St. Louis, MO.  Surviving are her four children, Judith Ann Wagner of Groveland, FL, three sons, Gerald Joseph (Laurie) McDonald Jr. of Godfrey, Michael J. (Kelley) McDonald of St. Charles, MO, and Patrick J. McDonald of Winfield, MO, 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.  Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Helen Marie McCullough and a grandson, Sean McDonald.  A memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 22, 2023 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Godfrey.   Burial will be at 10:15 a.m. Monday, September 25, 2023 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.  Gent Funeral Home in Alton is in charge of arrangements.
