Tessie Sanders, 87, passed away at 6:30 am Friday, March 7, 2014 at Bethalto Care Center under the care of BJC Hospice.
She was born on July 23, 1926 in Hahen, MO, the daughter of Wilburn and Eva Adell (Hancock) Hood.
She was a factory worker at Carter Carbonator Company for 17 years.
She is survived by three daughters, Judith Long of Wood River, Linda Kownochi of Pevely, MO and Virginia Horis of Omaha, NB; a son, Michael and his wife, Donna of Swansea, IL; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a great, great granddaughter, her siblings, Dorothy Dugan of Tucson, Arizona, Norma Fincham of Brighton, Ruby Davis of Tennessee and Sue Sturgis of Florida and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Marsha Diane Clendenny, three brothers and four sisters.
Cremation rites were accorded. No services.
