Terry Gene Ward, 56, passed away Sunday, February 23, 2025 at his home.
Born Oct. 21, 1968 in St. Louis, he was a son of John M. and Sharon E. (Melton) Ward.
The U.S. Navy veteran worked as a Boilermaker for the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and spending time in his “man cave” watching Viking movies and true crime/murder mystery shows.
He married Catie Hopson Apr. 30, 2015 in Wood River. She survives, as well as their daughter that he was so proud of, Sahara Ward. He also leaves behind his father, John and dear beloved mother, Sharon of Rosewood Heights; two brothers, Aaron (Terri) Ward of Cottage Hills and Scott (Danielle) Ward of Roxana; two brothers-in-law, John Hopson and Kevin Hopson, both of Moscow Mills, MO; a sister-in-law, Kim (Gordon) Bryant of East Alton; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 1 at Paynic Home for Funerals from 10 a.m. until services begin at 12 p.m.
