Terry Gene Shepherd, 78, of Caseyville, IL, born Friday, June 27, 1947, in East St. Louis, IL, passed away at his residence on Monday, July 7, 2025.
He was a proud United States Veteran who served his country with honor during the Vietnam War and continued that legacy of service throughout his life. For over 40 years, Terry was a dedicated volunteer firefighter in Washington Park- a role he took pride in. Always ready to lend a helping hand, he was known for his bravery, loyalty, and unwavering commitment to his community. Whether in uniform or out, he was someone others could count on in times of need. Terry also worked as a Union mechanic for a tractor trailer company.
Beyond his service, Terry will be remembered for his steady presence, his quiet strength, and his deep love for his family and friends. He leaves behind a legacy of courage, selflessness and integrity.
He was preceded in death by his:

- Daughter: Nina Page Shepherd
- Parents: Fayette Y. and Isabelle, nee Anderson, Shepherd

Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans.
Visitation: Visitation from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 11, 2025 at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, Illinois.
Services: Graveside Service will be held at 11:15 a.m., July 11, 2025 at Lake View Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights, IL.
