Terry Pyle, 63, passed away at 6:45 am Thursday, August 5, 2010 at his home with his family by his side while under the care of Unity Hospice.
He was born on December 2, 1946 in Rock Island, IL, the son of Lyndle A. & Wanda (Bagby) Pyle.
He married Nancy Pyle on September 27, 1968 in Alton. She preceded him in death on May 25, 2005. He later married Tammy L. (Wyatt) Bryant on April 29, 2006 in Bethalto, IL. She survives.
Terry served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was the mill supervisor at Jefferson Smurfit until his retirement. He was president of the Wood River Eagles, a member of the Wood River American Legion and a St. Louis Cardinals and Nascar Fan.
He is survived by three sons and a daughter-in-law and 2 fiancées; Patrick & Elisa Pyle of Bethalto, Daniel Pyle and Ann Mosby of Overland, MO and Christopher Pyle and Mariah McCracken of East Alton; a stepson and his wife, Christopher & Amanda Bryant of Medora; a stepdaughter and her spouse, Tara & Tony Barboza of Wood River; ten grandchildren; Travis Pyle, Dylan Pyle, Hailee Mazrim, Katherine Pyle, Julie McCracken, Brandon Bell, Madison Bryant, Kaitlyn Bryant, Cameron Bryant, and Devon Barboza; one brother and sister-in-law, James & Debbie Pyle of Springfield, VA; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Linda & Jim Crane of CA and Joyce Sinclair of Joshua Tree, CA and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Richard Pyle.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 pm Sunday, August 8, 2010 at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto where funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Monday, August 9, 2010 with James Pyle officiating.
Interment will follow at Jefferson Barracks Cemetery in St. Louis, MO with full military rites.
