Terry Dale Hart, 62, died unexpectedly at 3:30 a.m., Sunday, November 25, 2018 at Mercy Hospital in Saint Louis, MO.
He was born on May 22, 1956, one of three children born to the late Frederick Dale and Juanita Lee (Stevens) Hart.
Terry grew up in Jerseyville where he graduated from Jersey Community High School.
He began his working career while in high school, working at Jersey Community Hospital. He later went on to work for Updike Gas in Jerseyville as well as Laclede Steel. He later relocated to Missouri, where he resided in Bonne Terre and Cuba for a number of years before relocating to Bunker Hill, where he has remained for the past several years.
Surviving are two sisters and brothers in-law, Peggy and Roger Steckel of Congerville and Nancy and Robert Young of Jerseyville; his nieces and nephews, along with their spouses, Jason and Allecia Steckel of Brownsburg, IN; Amy and Jason Steele of Auburn; Beth and Pat Summers of Jerseyville; Carisa and Chas Peuterbaugh of Jerseyville and Dian Young of Metamora; great nieces and nephews, Kaden and Marin Steckel; Claire and Logan Steele; Zane and Izabelle Peuterbaugh; as well as his loyal K-9 companion, Yetta.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville where funeral services will be conducted at 9 a.m., Saturday with Rev. Ray Robinson officiating.
Burial will take place at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Jerseyville.
In lieu of flowers or plants, memorials may be given to Partners for Pets in St. Jacob, IL or to the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Shipman.
