Terrill Finke
Edwardsville |

In loving memory of Terrill "Terri" Diane Finke, cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at Hitz Memorial Home in Alhambra. She was 82 years old.
She was born in Litchfield, Illinois, on October 20, 1942, the daughter of Garnett and Marcella (Kreutzberg) Lamb. Terri grew up in Worden, Illinois, where she graduated high school before pursuing higher education at Eastern New Mexico University for two years. She dedicated her life to her family, sharing 62 wonderful years of marriage with her husband, Charles L. Finke. Together they raised four beloved sons, who were her pride and joy.
A devoted homemaker, Terri found her greatest happiness in creating a warm and welcoming home for her loved ones. She delighted in cooking, especially baking cookies and cakes that brought smiles to the faces of those around her. Family gatherings were the highlight of her year, particularly Christmas celebrations and the annual Finke Golf Scramble, where she lovingly prepared bedding and meals for all.
Her legacy lives on through not only her husband, Charles, but through her sons, Todd Finke and his fiancé other Sally Yost of Springfield, MO, Nathan and Christina Finke of Champaign, IL, Brad and Julie Finke of Phoenix, AZ, and Darin and his wife Kristin Schwaine Finke of Columbia, MO; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren who will all forever cherish her love, wisdom, and unwavering devotion. She is also survived by a sister, Tedra Lloyd of Big Sandy, TN; and a brother, Garni and wife Carol Lamb of Highland, IL.
Though she spent her final years battling dementia, her spirit remained strong, and the love she shared will never fade. Terri will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
A celebration of her life will start with a visitation on Monday, May 12, 2025, from 10 am until time of funeral service at 12 pm, at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto, for friends to gather to honor the beautiful life she lived. Pastor Nancy Hubert will officiate. Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
