Teddy A. Reaka, Sr., age 71, of Belleville, IL, born on June 25, 1953, in Belleville, IL, died on November 4, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
Teddy was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He loved spending time with his family, especially watching his grandkids participate in their extracurricular activities. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching various sports.
He was preceded in death by his son, Toby E. Reaka Sr.; son-in-law, James Mays; brother-in-law, Phil Hoehner; and his parents, Elmo and Fern (Miles) Reaka,
Teddy is survived by his wife, Sherry Reaka; son, Teddy A. (Jennifer) Reaka Jr. of Breese, IL; daughter, Tabitha L. Mays of Belleville, IL; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Reaka of Swansea, IL; grandchildren, Toby Reaka Jr., Tyler Gorsich, Taylor Reaka, Tanner Reaka, Anna Mays, Ty Reaka, Tristin Mays, Trevor Mays, Tia Reaka; great granddaughter, Eliana Reaka; siblings, Terry (Sue) Reaka, Tim (Deb) Reaka, Tom (Margie) Reaka, Tana (Steve) Smallwood, Toni Hoehner, Tyler (Mary) Reaka, Tammy (Tommy) Thousand, Tracy (Mike) Spengler; many loving nieces and nephews; and his four legged foot warmer, Bandit.
In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to the family.
A celebration of Teddy’s life will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd, Fairview Heights, IL.
