Susan Alicia (Wenzel) Lester Harlan, 62, died at 5:46 p.m., Monday, March 14, 2012 at Alton Memorial Hospital in Alton.She was born in Alton on April 19, 1950 and was formerly married to Phillip Michael Lester of Grafton, and together they had a daughter.  They later married Benny Harlan on Oct. 22, 1994 in Camden, Mo., and they shared nearly six years together before his death on July 4, 2000.Surviving are a daughter and son in law, Angie (Lester) & Tony Mercurio of Jerseyville; four grandchildren, Colin, Ryan & Damon Kadell and Meredith Malloy; and a sister, Sharon Wenzel of Albuquerque, New Mexico.She was preceded in death by her husband, Benny; her mother, Wilma Frances (Hock) Wenzel; and an infant grandson, Adam Christopher Kadell.Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Friday until time of funeral services at 12 noon at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville.    Her services will be conducted by Janice (Peuterbaugh) Kadell, a close friend to the family.Burial will take place at the Meadowbranch Cemetery in Grafton.Memorials may be given to the family in care of the funeral home.
