FIELDON - Stephen Patrick “Pat” Robinson, 56, died at 1:33 p.m., Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at his home in rural Fieldon under the care of Blessing Hospice of Greene County. He was born on July 8, 1959 in Alton, the youngest child born to the late Robert F. (Sr.) & Marian E. (Yotter) Robinson.Pat was raised as a young boy in the Wood River area. At the age of 10, his family moved to the Fieldon area, where he remained throughout his adult life.  He married the former Deborah S. Murphy on June 28, 1986 in Fieldon and together the two of them shared many good times and made lasting memories together during their 29 years of marriage - and spent only a brief time apart before she welcomed him Home, after her passing on November 17, 2015. Pat thoroughly enjoyed and embraced country life. He loved to fish, hunt and go horseback riding and spending time outdoors, which is why he garnered the nickname, “Cowboy” by his many friends. Still being a true kid at heart himself, it is no wonder that Pat loved the time he was able to spend with his grandchildren, who truly were his pride and joy. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Justin & Mary Robinson of Elsah and Andrew Mills and his wife of Kentucky; a step-daughter and son-in-law, Tara & James Smith of South Carolina; eight grandchildren, Jacob Murray, Sierra and Dylan Smith, Justice, Sebastian, Uriah and “Mytie” Robinson and Andrew Mills Jr.; two brothers, Robert Robinson Jr. & William Robinson, both of Fieldon; three sisters and their spouses, Donna & Kenneth Tosh of Hardin, Nancy & Gary Link of Fieldon and Mary Plunkett of Fieldon. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert F. Robinson Sr.; his mother and step-father, Charles & Marian Bartholomew; his wife, Deborah Robinson; a brother, John Robinson, who died in infancy; a brother-in-law, Robin Plunkett; a sister-in-law, Judy Robinson; as well as his nephew, Carey Robinson. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., Monday, February 15, 2016 at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville. He will buried at a private ceremony on Tuesday at the Mourning Meadows Cemetery, a cemetery started by his family in rural Fieldon. In lieu of flowers and plants, memorials may be given to his Family, in care of the funeral home.
