Stanton "Stan" J. Zick, 71, passed away Saturday, November 23, 2024, at his home with his family by his side.
He was born on June 13, 1953, in Danville, IL to Larry and Shirley (DeVore) Zick. Stan married Rosey Glass on June 1, 2001, at Ivy Heights Church in Wood River and she survives.
Stan was a member of the Union Hall for Laborers in Wood River for many years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, especially big game like elk. Stan also enjoyed karaoke with his wife.
In addition to his wife, Rosey; Stan is survived by a daughter, Lacie Zick of Springfield, IL; two siblings and their spouses, Stacie and Darrell Yates Jr. and Stephen and Leesa Zick; two grandchildren, Leo Whitman and katie Whitman; his good friends, Gary Shirley and Rick Kahrig; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A private family graveside service will be held at a later date at Forest Park Cemetery in Georgetown, IL.
Memorials are suggested to Vitas Hospice.
