Shirley Meyenburg, 85, passed away at 7:25 pm on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at St. Louis University Hospital.
She was born on April 12, 1935 in Alton, IL to Joseph and Ruth (Cleveland) Tolle.
Shirley married Kenneth Meyenburg on July 4, 1952 in Alton. He preceded her in death on July 24, 1999.
She loved to play bingo, enjoyed yard work, and crocheting.
Shirley is survived by seven children, Sheryl (Ron) Hodges, Brenda Axley, Kenneth (Jennifer) Meyenburg, Cindy Johnson (Mike Chaney), Mark (Tammy Huntsman) Meyenburg, Kevin Meyenburg, and Philip (Brandi) Meyenburg, one sister, Mary Spano; sixteen grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was also preceded in death by a grandson, Ron Hodges Jr.; six sisters, Nancy, Nellie, Sonya, Racheal, Patty and Dorothy; and one brother, James "Jimmy".
Cremation rites will be accorded.
Memorials are suggested to the American Lung Association.
