Sherry L. Lyon, 69, died at 12:14 p.m. on Friday, September 16, 2011 at Alton Memorial Hospital. She was born April 28, 1942 in Litchfield, Illinois the daughter of the late Pete and Romaine Libbra and her step-mother who raised her, Doris Libbra. She worked at Owens IL Glass in Alton, Miller Broom Co, C.R. Systems and Central Avenue Auto parts. She was a past member of the Alton Moose, a member of the Alton American Legion Post 126 Ladies Auxiliary and a lifetime member Alton VFW post 1308 Ladies Auxiliary. Besides her husband she is survived by one daughter; Tisha Rhine and her husband Leroy of Alton and one son; Terry Lyon Jr. of Texas. Two grandchildren; Alexia Asaro of Alton and Jeremy Rhine of Alton. Two brothers; Pete Libbra Jr. and his wife Linda of Girard and Joe Libbra and his wife Vicki of Litchfield, two sisters; Rita Shaw of Litchfield and Diana Shaw and her husband Jerry of Litchfield.
