Sharon Waide

Sharon Jean Waide, 77, died at 5:20 a.m. on December 18, 2023, at Alton Memorial Hospital. She was born January 18, 1946, in Alton the daughter of the late Leo and Alfreda (Wooff) Siemer. On December 10, 1966, she married Michael Waide and he survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Dana Croxford (Michael) of Godfrey one son, Darin Waide (Katherin) of Alton and six grandchildren, Aiden, Landon, Alana and Mailee Waide and Bryce and Lyla Croxford. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by one sister, Karen Banghart. She graduated Marquette Catholic High School in 1964.

Sharon loved being with family and friends. She worked as a teller at the Wedge Bank until she decided to stay home to raise her children. She will be missed by many. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton where funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 28, 2023.
