Sharon S. Pearson, 66, passed away at 11:46 am on Thursday, July 22, 2010, at her residence.

She was born on March 25, 1944, in Eldorado, Illinois, the daughter of the late Joseph and Wanda (Murphy) Dillard.

She married Earl Wiseman on July 11, 1964, and he preceded her in death in 2001. She then married Donald Pearson on May 22, 2004, and he survives.

Other survivors include a son and daughter in law: Franklin and Susan Wiseman of Prairietown, Illinois, two grandchildren: Amanda Wiseman and Branden Wiseman, a step - son and his wife: Jim and Anna Pearson of Bethalto, a step - daughter and son in law: Mary and Tim Schroeder of St. Louis, Missouri, four step - grandchildren: Ethan Friley of St. Louis, Carlie Schroeder of St. Louis, Mary Pearson of Bethalto, and Brian Pearson of Bethalto, one sister and brother in law: Nancy and Melvin Cook of Alton, one nephew and his wife: Michael and Carla Cook, a great nephew: Matthew Cook, her dear uncles and aunts: Richard and Judy Murphy of St. Charles, Missouri, and Bob and Mary Jane Allen of North Carolina.

She was employed as an assistant manager at Dollar General for 15 years prior to her retirement. She enjoyed gardening and she loved her dogs.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be from 4 pm to 8 pm on Sunday, July 25, 2010, with a prayer service at 4 pm at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am on Monday, July 26, 2010, at Our Lady Queen of Peace in Bethalto. Father Tom Liebler will be the celebrant. Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.

Memorials are suggested to Our Lady Queen of Peace Building Fund or to the Edwardsville Animal Shelter.
