Scott Lynn Taylor, 59, of Wood River, IL, passed away at 3:01 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18, 2024 at his home.
He was born Dec. 31, 1964 in Granite City, IL to the late Clarence and Rosalee Taylor.
Scott was a construction laborer most of his life. He had attended Central Baptist Church. He loved to spend time with his family and go fishing whenever he could. Scott was also a writer and enjoyed creating stories.
He is survived by 3 children: Michelle Taylor of Milstadt, IL, Donald Taylor of Granite City and Cassie Taylor of Granite City; 2 grandchildren: Damian Spratley and Forrest Peters; companion: Teresa Barnes of Wood River; and his beloved pup: Lily.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Randall and Allan Taylor; a sister: Vicki Stevenson; and his former spouse: Robin Taylor.
The family will hold a celebration of Scott’s life at a later date.
