_{Sandra worked for the Olin Corporation and retired in 2004 after 20 years.
Surviving is Sandra’s husband Ronald Dee McCartney of Wood River, a daughter Rhonda and her husband Jeff Nelson of Wood River, a daughter Lisa and her husband Ricci Stassi of Bethalto. Sandra also took in a boy named John Schiffer, a friend of her daughters and raised him as her own.
Sandra has four grandchildren; Brian McCartney, Justin Moore, Alex Moore and Victoria Moore.
Sandra (Sis) and her family would call her has 8 brothers. The late Harold Rushton of Wood River, Darrell Rushton of Roxana, David Rushton of Wood River, Roy and Betty of South Roxana, Billy and Carol Rushton of Bethalto, Mike and Paula Rushton of East Alton, The late Raymond Rushton and surviving his wife Marilyn of Staunton, and Walter and Virginia Rushton of East Alton. Sandra also has 4 sisters. Judy and her late husband Luke walker of Wood River, Margaret and Sherman Spangler of Wood River, Linda and Matt Gernigin of Wood River and Sharon and Barney Seidler of Hartford.
Sandra has 18 nieces and nephews.}
