Sandra Sue Parker, 66, of South Roxana and formerly of Granite City, Illinois passed away at 5:27 a.m. on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at her home. She was born May 1, 1958, in Granite City, Illinois, a daughter of the late Robert M. Beswick and the late Shirley Delores (Cornstuble) Weston. Family was of the utmost importance in her life and she cherished the love and special times shared. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and always enjoyed family gatherings. She was a fan of watching Gunsmoke and loved all things nature including being in the water and taking in some sun on a beautiful beach. She is survived by her significant other of 29 years, Robert “Bob” Newman of South Roxana; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Robbie Parker of Granite City, Jason and Cat Parker of Wood River and Anthony and Christie Parker of Mitchell; nine grandchildren, Michelle, Tony, Britney, Courtney, Andrew, Bailey, Briley, Payton and Blake; three great grandchildren, Annaleigh, Ariah and RaeRae; a sister, Mona Jennings of Belleville; a brother, Randy Beswick of Belleville; nieces; nephews; other extended family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Debbie Waggoner; a brother, Alan Beswick and a niece, Dawn Fuller.

In celebration of her life, a memorial visitation will be at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City on Saturday, September 7, 2024, from 3 p.m. until time of a memorial service at 5 p.m. with Reverend Sharon Autenrieth officiating.
