Rosemary Niemeyer, 83, died at 7:34 p.m. on Sunday, January 26, 2025 at Lakeside Health and Rehab in Carlinville, IL.
She was born May 28, 1941 in Alton, the daughter of the late Joseph and Violetta (Wood) Geisen. On November 23, 1968 in Alton, she married Leon Niemeyer, and he preceded her in death on December 24, 2000.
Surviving are three daughters, Peggy Ann Niemeyer of Alton, Cheryl Fay Sanders of Alton and Pamela Marie Henry of Bethalto, grandchildren, Mariah Sanders, Sarah Mayhew, Kelsie Niemeyer, Lindsey Niemeyer, Marisa White, Kaitlyn Sanders, Brittany White, Lisa Henry, Rachel Snyders, Robert Snyders and numerous great grandchildren, two brothers, Paul Geisen and Mick Geisen and two sisters, Catherine Tanner and Marilyn Elick (David) and longtime friend, Stella Smith.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, George and his wife Marsha Niemeyer and Thomas Niemeyer and one son in law, Thomas Sanders.
No services are scheduled at this time. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
