Ronald W. Schroeter, age 86 of Greenville, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at Greenville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
There will be no public services for Ronald. Memorials are requested to Campground Church, Bond County Hospice, or the Greenville Public Library. Donnell – Wiegand Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Ronald Walter, the son of Walter Herman Paul Schroeter and Olinda Anna Osterloh, was born June 16, 1939, in St. Louis, Missouri.
Ron served our country in the United State Army from September 14, 1962 – September 13, 1968. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, continued his service in the reserves, and was honorably discharged.
Ron and Judy Hebrank Schaufelberger were united in marriage on January 20, 1987. They have enjoyed 38 years together. Judy survives as do her children: George (Veronica) Schaufelberger of New Orleans, Louisiana, Ginger Boas of Philo, Illinois, and Wendy White of Greenville.
He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Joshua (Emily) Schaufelberger, Corey Schaufelberger, Thomas (Jamie) Boas and their children Mackenzie and Aubrey, Scott (Megan) Boas and their children August, Anderson, and Avery, and Stephanie Boas.
Ron was an only child and was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Olinda.
