Ronald Gregory Price, age 67 of New Douglas, IL, died Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital (BJC) in Saint Louis, MO.
He was born on Tuesday, August 27, 1957, in East Saint Louis, IL, the son of Ray and Dorothy (nee Perkins) Price.
On Friday, July 2, 1976, he married Cindy Lou Price (nee Frank) at Alhambra, IL, who survives.
He graduated from Highland High School in 1975 and earned a degree from Greenville College in Psychology. He held numerous jobs, working as a counselor at ARCH House and Tasco in Edwardsville. He was also a member of Alcoholics Anonymous.
He and his family had moved to Alhambra in 1980 and to their residence, near New Douglas in 1995. Ron enjoyed music - The Doors, Eric Clapton, The Who, the Beatles, Bob Seger, Pink Floyd - and the list goes on. He enjoyed going to their concerts.
Working on his 1970 LeMans Pontiac was a great pastime. Ron enjoyed astronomy with his large telescope. The shooting range at Pocahontas - "Rampage" - was a visited site.
Collecting coins and polishing rocks & stones, hunting antiques, working puzzles' and time with his "Best Buddies" were all activities he enjoyed. The two grandsons were always top on his list.

Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Salem United Church of Christ in Alhambra, IL.
Funeral Service will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Salem United Church of Christ in Alhambra, IL, with Rev. Jeremy R. Wood, Pastor, officiating.
Interment will be at Salem United Church of Christ Cemetery in Alhambra, IL.
