Ronald L. Parker, 60, died at 5:29 a.m. on Friday, February 28, 2025.
He was born June 18, 1964 in Alton, the son of the late Griffin Parker and Esther (Basden) Parker of Alton.
He formally worked as a mechanic with Boral Power Plant in Marissa, IL. Ron enjoyed fast cars and fast boats.
Besides his mother he is survived by one daughter, Emme Murphy (Josh) of East Alton one grandchild, Jaydin Murphy, three sisters, Cheryl Kappler (Mike) of Bethalto, Peggy Farrow of Brighton, Sheila Lanham (Rob) of Alton and two brothers, Ralph Parker (Sandy) of Alton and Bobby Parker of Alton.
Besides his father he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Russell and Lucille Parker and Jim and Lena Basden, a brother-in-law, Jim Farrow, a nephew, Jimmy Schneider, aunts and uncles, Merle and Marcella Parker, Kay and Pat Paddock and Marilyn and Dan Brown.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 5, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Gent Funeral Home in Alton.
