Ronald Hoke
Godfrey |
Ronald Edward Hoke (77) was greeted in paradise on December 1,2024 by his father, mother, brother Steven, niece Miranda and many other loving family members and friends.
Ronald was born February 22,1947 in St. Louis, MO to Randle and Jean (Steffen) Hoke. He was the oldest of six.
Surviving are brothers, Michael (Allyn), Daniel (Becky) and sisters, Karen (Paul), Jennifer (Ray). Ronald is also survived by a daughter, Lisa, and sons, Brian and Jonathan, as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Uncle Ron will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews, regular and great. Ronald served his country during the Vietnam War with the U.S. Navy, and he retired as an insurance agent.
Ron will be remembered as a grumpy old man, whose wit, wisdom and humor will be greatly missed. Our lives will be a little quieter without his deep booming voice either yelling or laughing.
Ron was a man of many hobbies including cars, fishing, billiards and the outdoors. Ron was also a man of many locations, having lived in Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky and Illinois again, leaving a wake of wives and friends wherever he went.
Cremation rites were entrusted to Gent Funeral Home in Alton with burial at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Godfrey with full military honors at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 14, 2024, per Ron's wishes.
Celebration of life to be held at a later date. Online guestbook and information may be found at www.gentfuneralhome.com
