Ronald Gene Wahl, 77, of Gillespie, IL, died at St. John's Hospital, Springfield, IL on Monday, April 25, 2022.
He was born August 18, 1944, in Rockbridge, IL to Percy Wahl & Velma Ayers Wahl. He married Linda Kay Neff Wahl. He was retired after having been a meat cutter for a grocery store. He was a veteran of the US Army after having served during Vietnam. Ronald enjoyed woodworking and gardening. Ronald also enjoyed spending time with family and being outdoors.
He is survived by his spouse, Linda Wahl of Gillespie, IL, children, Christie Wasylenko of Gillespie, IL, Tracy (Dustin) Favre of Staunton, IL, Erin (Steth) Wahl of Stonington, IL, Brianne (Matt) Nolan of Virden, IL, grandchildren, Samantha Wasylenko, Taylor (Dylan) Fuda, Tori Gilleland, Colton Wahl, Savannah Linn, Lilly Wahl, Asha Wahl, Kyle Favre, Olivia Favre, Kinsley Nolan, great-grandchildren, Brently, Violet, siblings, Earl Ray (Carol) Wahl of West Frankfort, IL, Phyllis (Larry) Brogdon of Murrayville, IL, Stanley (Cathy Jo) Wahl of Jacksonville, IL, Randall (Rhonda) Wahl of Murrayville, IL, several nieces, and nephews.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Donald Wahl, sister, Elizabeth Wahl, and son-in-law, Ken Wasylenko.
Private family services will be held with interment at Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield, IL.
