Romell La’Vaughn Jones was born October 30, 2004 in St. Louis, MO to Sonya Marie Dixon and Robert La’Vaughn Jones, Sr.
Mel Mel, as he was affectionately called, attended school: River Bend Head Start, Lewis and Clark Elementary, and Gilson Brown Elementary. He had a personality that would light up a room. Romell was a great protector of his brothers and sisters, very athletic, loved lending a helping hand, loved to smile, enjoyed cleaning, very outspoken, and great jokester.
On Monday, January 11, 2016 at 6:02 p.m., Romell took his wings and went to be with the Lord.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Edward Jones, Sr.
Left to celebrate wonderful memories: His loving mother and father, Sonya Marie Dixon and Robert La’Vaughn Jones, Sr.; 8 Siblings, Robert Jones, Armani Jones, Ramiyah Jones, Rajuan Jones, Raysean Jones, Amauril Reynolds, A’Laysia Mason, and A’Fayero Mason; Maternal Grandparents, Denise (Mike) Hill and Albert (Debbie) Dixon; Paternal Grandmother, Madine Williams; Paternal Great Grandmother, Maggie Mathis; 9 aunts; 12 uncles; 5 best friends, Jonas Wheeler, Justyce Anthony, Darrion, Nasser Perry, and Edmond Girdon; and a host great aunts; great uncles, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will convene Tuesday, January 19, 2016 from 9 until time of service at 11:00 a.m. at Deliverance Temple Complex Church of God in Christ. Dr. Gregory L.
