Roger A. Stark, age 68, of Edwardsville, Illinois, passed away on Monday, May 17, 2021, at his home. He was born August 3, 1952, in Edwardsville, the son of the late Albert W. & Dorothy (Pike) Stark. Roger worked as a truck driver in the Metro East for many years where he worked for Vitran Express out of St. Louis & most recently for Holland Freight in Edwardsville.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Venessa L. (Wilfong) Stark, whom he married on March 18, 1978, in Edwardsville. Roger is also survived by his son, Douglas J. Stark of Edwardsville; three brothers, Roy Stark of Mt. Olive, Illinois, Randy Stark & wife Michele of Worden, Illinois, Rex Stark of Collinsville; one sister, Renee Doss & husband Andre of Collinsville; and his nieces & nephews. He was a member of the Teamsters.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, May 21, 2021, at Weber & Rodney Funeral Home in Edwardsville. He will be cremated according to his wishes after the visitation. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials to the donor’s choice.
