Robert Allan Peyman, 75, passed away at 4:29 p.m. on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at Memorial Hospital in Shiloh, Illinois.

He was born on April 15, 1949, in Springfield, Massachusetts, to the late Bertrand and Joyce (Creelman) Peyman.

Robert married Karen L. Anderson on February 2, 2002, in Edwardsville, Illinois. She preceded him in death on August 26, 2020.

A 1967 graduate of Suffield High School, Robert went on to attend St. Louis University, where he earned his Master's Degree. His career spanned various roles, including as a Quality Assurance Inspector for West Star Aviation, and owner of Bob's Balistics. He also served in several law enforcement positions, including with the St. Louis City Police Department, Windsor Police Department, and Connecticut State Police.

Additionally, he was involved in the Fire and EMS services of Norfolk, Connecticut. Robert held notable positions such as Captain of the Brussels/Grafton Ferry, Captain of the Anastasia Riverboat, and maintenance supervisor for Mike's Shipyard. He also flew commercially for Lakin & Associates. Robert was a passionate New York Giants fan.

He is survived by his children, Dolly (Bennie) Cross of Granite City, Illinois, Robert "Bob" (Dana) Peyman Jr. of Millstadt, Illinois, Jared (Brittny Gibson) Peyman of Holts Summit, Missouri, and Debbie (Gina) Peyman of Shiloh, Illinois; fourteen grandchildren, Maegen, Kaela, Emily, Daymione, Torre, Jessica, Jacob, Joshua, Braylee, Rhett, Tucker, Jackson, Riley, and Kinsley; and five great-grandchildren, Aaliyah, Savannah, Wyatt, Olivia, and Adeline.

He is also survived by two brothers and daughters-in-law, William (Monica) Peyman of Manchester, Connecticut, and Rich (Cindy) Peyman of Willington, Connecticut, as well as one sister and brother-in-law, Patricia (Dale) Naegeli of Coventry, Connecticut.

In addition to his parents and wife, Robert was preceded in death by a sister, Cynthia Miller.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 15, 2024, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey, Illinois.
