Robert P. Dosien, 88, of East Alton, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2014 at his home.
Born July 13, 1925 in Chicago, he was the son of Edward Robert and Marie K. (Raff) Dosien.
He married Roberta H. Hofmann August 16, 1947 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Jefferson City, MO.
He worked as a teacher for 41 years. Robert loved music, baseball, and trains.
He is survived by his wife Roberta Dosien; six children and their spouses, Renee Rogahn-Turner, Barbara and David Hinkle, Edward and Audra Dosien, Rebecca Dosien and Rick Ivester, Randall and Sandy Dosien and Margo and David Haas; and many loved grandchildren and great grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters and a brother-in-law, Phyllis and Charles Koenig and Marion Dosien.
The family will greet friends and family Wednesday, July 2 at Messiah Lutheran Church in Alton from 10 a.m. until Rev. Dave Marth officiates a memorial service at 11 a.m.
Memorials may be made to Messiah Lutheran Church, Alton or Metro-East Lutheran High School, Edwardsville.
