Robert L. Mitchelar, age 83 of Livingston, IL, died Sunday, October 20, 2024, at Alhambra Care Center in Alhambra, IL.
He was born on Saturday, December 7, 1940, in Litchfield, IL, the son of Louis and Verna (nee Schuette) Mitchelar. Jr.
On Monday, June 4, 1962, he married Karen Sue Goss at Grantfork, Illinois, who survives.
He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Staunton Masonic Lodge, and Int. Association of Machinist and Aero Space Workers.
Robert was born in Litchfield, IL and graduated from Livingston High School in 1959. He worked for his father's business delivering propane, and he also worked as a laborer for several years. Then he started to work for Olin, and stayed there for almost 40 years as a machine adjuster technician. He and his wife enjoyed traveling all over the United States. He loved his family dogs. He also spent free time restoring old tractors. Bob enjoyed fishing, gardening, hunting and operating his small farm. He could fix any car or lawnmower engine.

Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL.
Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Livingston, IL.
Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Livingston, IL.
Interment will be at New Spangle Cemetery in Livingston, IL.
