Robert “Bob” Bryant

Robert “Bob” Bryant, 83, passed away at 5:02 pm Saturday June 25, 2016 at home with his family by his side.

 

He was born on May, 19, 1933 in Alton, the son of Dale & Bessie (Cougill) Bryant.

Bob married the former Fannie Santu on April 7, 1956 and she preceded him in death on August 2, 1996.  Bob married Shirley Winship Myers in St. Charles, MO in August 1999.  She survives.

He worked as an interior decorator and was an avid wood worker, especially building furniture.  He also was a loyal St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan and enjoyed golfing and fishing.

In addition to his wife, Shirley, he is also survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Allyson & Harris Maupin of Hillsboro, MO and Tracy & Davis Pfeifer of St. Louis; one son and daughter-in-law, Tom & Lois Bryant of St. Charles; three stepsons and their spouses, Geff & Gwen Myers of Brighton, Mark & Brenda Myers of Kansas City, MO and Michael Myers of Brighton, four grandchildren, Emily and Jack Pfeifer and Anna and Maria Maupin; one great granddaughter – Tamara Maupin, nine step grandchildren; and a sister and brother-in-law, Anita & Dwight McAfoos of Alton.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Floyd Glen Bryant.

Visitation will be from 10 am until time of Funeral Services at 1 pm Wednesday June 29, 2016 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton.

Cremation rites will follow and a private inurnment will be held at a later date at Upper Alton Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Lung Association.
