Reynaldo “Ron” S. Perez II, 41, passed away Monday, May 20, 2013 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO with his family by his side.
He was born on June 22, 1971 in Alton, IL, son of Reynaldo S. Perez I and Karen Sue (Plank) Perez.
On October 17, 1997 he married Angela Dupuis in Toledo, Ohio. She survives.
Ron formerly worked as a manager at Target in Toledo and presently a manager at Kohl’s. At Kohl’s, he headed up all volunteer teams for nonprofit charities. He enjoyed playing and coaching softball, baseball, bowling, comic books, volleyball, playing D & D with the guys, and was a fanatic about video games, Star Wars and Disney. He was the family organizer and took care of things like family picnics. He loved his dog, Max, the St. Louis Cardinals and the Detroit Lions. Reynaldo was an organ donor. He was a devoted husband and father and loved spending time with his children.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his father, Reynaldo Perez I of Creve Coeur MO; his mother, Karen Sue Perez of Alton; a daughter, Quinn Perez and a son, Diego Perez; his grandmother, Margaret Plank of Alton; two sisters, Mischa Perez and Monika Perez both of Creve Coeur, MO; a brother, Mateo Perez of St. Louis, MO; a sister-in-law, Annette Murnen of Ida, Michigan; a brother-in-law and his wife, Tony and Carol Dupuis of Toledo, Ohio; his father-in-law, James Dupuis of Toledo, Ohio and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Thomas Eugene Plank, grandparents, Ezequiel and Carmen Perez and mother-in-law, Kathleen Dupuis.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 pm on Friday, May 24, 2013 at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Saturday, May 25, 2013 at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
Memorials may be given to 1st Mid America Credit Union for the Perez children account.
