Rebecca E. Davis, 62, died at 7:20 a.m. Wednesday, August 24, 2011. Born August 27, 1948 in Alton, she was the daughter of Margaret (Kirby) Smith of Hartford and the late Maston Earl Smith. She was a secretary at the Godfrey Baptist Church where she was also a member. She enjoyed sewing and embroidering and she was active in the American Baptist Women’s Association. Along with her mother, she is survived by a son, Ryan Davis of South Roxana, a step-son, Rance Davis of Alton, a granddaughter, Shaylynn Davis of Lindenwold, NJ, a step-grandson, Aeden Davis, a sister and brother-in-law, RaNell and Joe Consiglio of Hartford, and two nieces and one nephew, Kimberly Consiglio of Alton, and William and Hannah Consiglio of Hartford. She was preceded in death by her father and a niece, Catherin Consiglio. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, August 26, 2011 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, August 27, 2011 at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey. Reverend Dr. Glen Greenwood will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
