Rebecca Sue Blackstock, of Four Forks, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on December 18, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
Born October 11, 1953, in Alton, IL, Rebecca dedicated her life to shaping young minds through education. She spent two decades as a middle school teacher at Illini Middle School in Jerseyville, IL and West Brazos Junior High in Brazoria, TX. Her unwavering commitment to her students and her passion for teaching left an indelible mark on countless lives and inspired generations of learners.
Rebecca is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband Steve Blackstock of Four Forks, TX; her mother-in-law Ervaline Blackstock of Lake Jackson, TX; her children Brooke (Eric) Landuyt, Brandy Bridgeman and Darrah Fielder; and her grandchildren Kade Bock, Anderson Carter, Colton Thompson, Michael (Maria) and Matthew Bridgeman and Emily and Madison Landuyt. She is also blessed with one great grandchild, Michael Bridgeman III.
She was proceeded in death by her mother Mae Van Ausdoll; her sister Norma Jean Gandall; and her father-in-law Rex Blackstock.
Rebecca will be cherished for the love she shared with her family and the dedication she brought to her career. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
