Rebecca “Becky” D. Kallal, 56, passed away at 3:28 am Thursday, June 16, 2011 at Jerseyville Community Hospital with her family by her side.
She was born on November 6, 1954 in Jerseyville, IL, the daughter of Charles F. and Bertha E. (Starner) Miller.
She married Delbert L. Kallal on August 31, 1972 in Jerseyville. He survives.
She was a homemaker most of her life, but she ran B & B Ceramics in Jerseyville for over fourteen years. She was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed collecting angels and Precious Moments. She loved cats, fishing, camping, and traveling, especially to Branson, Missouri and Silver Dollar City.
In addition to her husband and mother of Jerseyville, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Josh and Teri Kallal of Alton; a sister and brother-in-law, Mary Jane and Chester Keene of Jerseyville and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, a brother, Charles “Frank” Miller Jr, who passed away during the Vietnam War and her good friends, Tossie and Bill Hildred.
Visitation will be from 2 to 5 pm Sunday, June 19, 2011 at Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Monday, June 20, 2011 at Crawford Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Lovin officiating.
Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Jerseyville.
Memorials may be made to the Riverbend Humane Society and Animal Shelter or Jerseyville Dialysis Center.
