Ramon Lambert

Ramon “Ray” L. Lambert, 67, passed away at 11:45 pm Sunday, April 8, 2012 at his residence with his family by his side.
He was born on November 7, 1944 in Alton, the son of the late Ramon L. Lambert and Jacklyn (Schneider) Lambert, Redman.
He married Linda Risler on June 4, 1966 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alton and she preceded him in death on August 12, 2008.
Ramon was a claims adjustor for State Farm Insurance from 1969 until he retired in 2005. He was an avid football fan and routed for Notre Dame, and enjoyed oil painting as a hobby.
He is survived by three daughters; Laura and her spouse Tom Daues of Wentzville, MO, Rene Lambert of Omaha, NE, Leslie and her spouse Gene Jozwiak of O’Fallon, MO, one brother Marc and his spouse Debby Lambert of Brighton, IL, five grandchildren Alexandria, Joshua and Grace Daues, Ashley and Jacqueline Jozwiak.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents, wife and one son Robert Lambert.
Visitation will be from 4 pm to 8 pm Friday April 13, 2012 at Staten Fine Funeral Home in Alton. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am Saturday April 14, 2012 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alton.
Burial will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery in Godfrey, IL.
