Ralph Millidge

Ralph J. Millidge, 87, passed away at 11:14 pm Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at OSF St. Anthony’s Health Center in Alton.
He was born on June 26, 1933, in London, England; the son of Harold & Irene (Newel) Millidge.
Ralph married Maureen Done on May 22, 1954, in Bristol, England.
He served in the Army in England and worked as a Senior Design Engineer for Boeing Corporation.
Ralph enjoyed woodworking and loved to make furniture, guitars and violins. He also loved animals, helping with stray animal associations, and nature in general.
He ran in numerous marathons during his life and loved the Great River Road Run. He was a member of the St. Louis Track Club and the Alton Road Runners Club.
Ralph loved his family dearly and is survived by his wife, Maureen Millidge of Godfrey; four daughters and sons-in-law, Terry (Steve) Guerrant of St. Peters, MO, Carole (Craig) Hostetler of Florissant, MO, Maureen (Doug) Vigneau of Goodyear, AZ, Debbie (Ken) Atkins of Brighton, IL, one son and daughter-in-law, Paul (Sherry) Millidge of St. Charles, MO; twenty-two grandchildren, Christine (Travis) , Michelle, Sarah (Ray), Cara, Georgeta (Mike), Andreea, Mihaela (Jarred), Simona, Crysta, Stephen (Tara), Jessica (Josh), Johnathan (Ann), Eric (Melissa), Stephanie (Jason), Olivia, Rachel (Matt), Spencer, Leah, Josh (Christa), Jaimie (Jake), Josh (Emily) and Jodi (Tom); thirty-two great-grandchildren; three sisters and a brother, Maureen Cryer, Geoff Millidge of England, and Jackie and Susan.
Private services will be held at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey, IL and due to Covid-19 restrictions, the family would like to accommodate family and friends impacted by travel restrictions and occupancy constraints by live-streaming the funeral service on Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Homes Facebook page beginning at 1 pm December 16, 2020, CST.
