Quincy Jamal Harris was born September 20, 1987, in Alton, IL to Betty J Harris of Alton, IL, and Billy Joe Getter of Kennett, MO. Quincy graduated from Alton High School in where he was a member of the Alton Redbirds basketball team. Quincy had a strong passion for music. He wrote and performed several of his own songs. He loved being around his family dancing, laughing, and having a good time. Quincy was always in good spirits and greeted others with a big smile that lit up the room.

Quincy was a hardworking forklift driver at Imperial Manufacturing Group in Alton, IL for seven years until he entered eternal rest on December 6th, 2021.

Quincy was preceded by a daughter Emerie Harris, grandparents: Zittie B Harris, Olie Jones, Leonard Getter, Uncle Jesse Getter, and Aunt Mae Ida Whittaker.

He leaves to cherish his memory a daughter Qwayrah J Harris, his mother Bettie Harris, his father Billy Joe Getter, sisters: Shavon Harris, Erica P Harris, Konstance Clark all of Alton, IL, Jermita (Mark) Shorter of Florissant, MO, brothers: Billy (Della) Harris of Robinsonville, MS, Cornal Harris, and Domonique Stegall of Alton, IL, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends. He also leaves to cherish his memory a special aunt Olivia Lacey of Alton, IL, whom he called “T.T.” and special friends Ashlee Henderson and Ramon McGowan.
