Phillip Chapman, 35, passed away at 5:37 pm Monday, July 4, 2011 at his residence in Alton.
He was born on January 3, 1976 in Alton the son of Willis David and Linda (Fowler) Chapman.
Phillip married Dacra Jennings on December 23, 2004 in Alton. As a child he was baptized and is a Christian.
He is survived by his wife Dacra, his parents, David and Linda of Alton; his parent in-laws, Paul and Jacqueline Jennings of Arnold, MO; a brother and his wife David James and Kellie Chapman of Eddystone PA; a Brother in-law and his wife Steve and Connie Jennings of White Hall, IL; a sister in-law Lisa Jennings-Chapman of Greenbrier, AR; two nieces Cami and Kerri Chapman; two nephews Adam and Travis Chapman; his paternal grandparents Willis F. and Dollie Chapman of Godfrey; and several aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James D. and Irene Fowler.
Per his wishes cremation rites will be accorded.
A Memorial Visitation will be from 4 to 6 pm Thursday, July 7, 2011 at the Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton where a memorial service will be held at 6 pm with Rev. Charley Westbrook officiating.
Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
