Pearl M. Koeneman, 75, passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2011 at Alton Memorial Hospital. She was born on September 12, 1936, in St. Louis, Missouri the daughter of the late Edgar F. and Lena M. (Camerer) Coonrod. She married Paul C. Koeneman on February 2, 1952, in St. Louis, Missouri and he preceded her in death on July 23, 1999. Survivors include three daughters and a son in law: Kathleen Wunderlich of St. Charles, Missouri, Linda and Mike Wunderlich of West Alton, Missouri, Denise Koeneman of Wood River, three sons and daughters in law: Paul and Anna Koeneman Jr. of Wood River, Edgar L. and Susan Koeneman of Salt Lake City, Utah, Mark and Kelly Koeneman of Alton, eighteen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren.
She was formerly employed as a school bus driver in the St. Louis area schools. She then worked as a dump truck driver and at local factories.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister: Florence S. Williams, and one brother: Edgar F. Coonrod.
In celebration of her life, visitation will be from 4pm to 8pm on Friday, November 11, 2011 at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. Funeral services will be held at 10am on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at the funeral home. Pastor Mark Hofferber will officiate. Burial will follow at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
