Pauline R. Seago, 92, passed away at 11:15 pm Tuesday August 30, 2011 at Alton Memorial Hospital. She was born on December 1, 1918 in Alton, the daughter of George & Ethel (Johnson) Collins.
She was a member of Godfrey Baptist Church. She married Wm. Clark Seago in Alton on April 26, 1941. He preceded her in death in 1996. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ann & Ira Peal of Godfrey; four grandchildren, Eric Peal of Godfrey, Keith Hafford of Belleville, Carla Diep of Fairview Heights and Darla Reasner of Montgomery, TX; nine great grandchildren, Emma, Natalie, and Alexis Peal, Alex and Alyssa Hafford, Amanda, Aaron and Aungelique Reasner, and Christopher Diep. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Harvey Collins and two daughters, Evelyn Hafford and Kathleen Johnson.
In celebration of her life, visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm Friday September 2, 2011 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey where funeral services will be held at 10 am Saturday September 3, 2011 with Rev. Dr. Glenn Greenwood officiating. Burial will follow at Upper Alton Cemetery.
