Patrick Whalen

Patrick Mark Whalen entered his eternal home on December 30, 2025.

Pat was born on August 25, 1956. He grew up in Cottage Hills where he played sports and drove fast cars in his youth. Pat lived the way he wanted to live and turned his love of music into a passion. He would want to be remembered as part of the music community. He was proud of his soundman talents. Pat was a good friend to his band of brothers. His friends were very important to him. He could be ornery but he always wanted you to smile. His later life was slower and more reflective but somehow still eventful. He loved retelling old stories with his friends.

Pat will be greatly missed by his sisters, Tamara (Rod) Foiles and Kathleen (Kyle) Marsh, nephews Matthew Belden and Joshua (Ashley) Howland, nieces Elizabeth (Eli) Krol and Heather Smith, special friend Michelle Korte, cousins, great nieces and nephews, friends, neighbors and his little dog, Hershey.

Pat was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Dorothy (Hoffman) Whalen and his sister, Tara Howland.

A memorial visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 9 at Paynic Home for Funerals.
