Patricia Lorsbach, 80, passed away at 7:45 pm, Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at her residence with family by her side.  

She was born in Chicago, Illinois on December 26, 1933, the daughter of the late Robert Baine and Catherine Maloney.

She married John Lorsbach on June 6, 1959 in St. Luke’s Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on January 5, 2010.

She was a teacher at St. Mary’s and St. Ambrose Catholic Church.  She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan who only missed two home opening games in more than twenty years.  Patricia also enjoyed poetry, teaching, Barkley Lake, Panera Bread, coffee and a nice warm cup of tea.  Patricia was very devoted to her family and her students.  She enjoyed spending time with all of them.  

She is survived by five daughters and sons-in-law, and one son and daughter-in- law; Ann & Phillip Duckworth of Louisville, KY, Mary & John Ackermann of Saunderstown, RI, Greg & Jill Lorsbach of Godfrey, Margaret & Michael Johnson of Oxford, PA, Clare & Craig Clancy of Godfrey, and Susan & Jim Schmitz of Victor, NY; seventeen grandchildren, P.J., Josh, Matt, Hilary and Melanie Duckworth; Nathan & Lucas Ackermann; Korby and Jacob Piel, Jack Lorsbach; Mackenzie, Molly, and  Maura Johnson; Noah & Riley Clancy; Katie & John Michael Schmitz, one sister; Cathy and Don Coleman; and three brothers; Bob and Maureen Baine, Larry and Elizabeth Baine, and Dick and Betty Baine, and one sister-in-law, Joyce Lorsbach

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband John.

Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Sunday, January 12, 2014 at Elias, Kallal, and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey.

Funeral mass will be at 10 am on Monday, January 13, 2014 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Burial will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Godfrey.  

Memorials may be made to St. Mary’s School or Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund.
