Patricia Church

Patricia June Church, age 96 died at 10:45 AM on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at Jerseyville Manor.  Pat was born in St. Louis on June 9, 1927 the daughter of the late Joseph and Mabel (O’Neil) Ebert.  She was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Alton and retired as a waitress from Moonlight Restaurant after 37 years of service. She married John W. Church on November 13, 1943 and he preceded her in death on September 1, 1998.  Surviving are her five children; Sharon Carmean (Terry) of Godfrey, Billie Kates of Godfrey, John Church (Debbie) of North Carolina, Dawn Church of Rosewood Heights and Kelly Church (Rhonda) of Oxford, Mississippi and a daughter in law; Shirley Church of Wood River,  15 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren  She was preceded in death one daughter; Donna Withrow, two sons; Mike and Larry Church, two granddaughters; Monique Seago and Jonathan Church, one son in law, Ken Kates and two sisters; Louise Ebert and Betty Brazil.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am until a memorial service at noon on Monday, October 2, 2023 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton.  Burial will follow at Roselawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.  Memorials may be made to the Alton Area Animal Aid Association (5A’s).  Additional information and online obituary may be found at www.gentfuneralhome.com
