Patricia Buese, 85, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Alton Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family.
She was born July 15, 1928 in Denver, Colorado the daughter of Francis & Virginia (Roseboom) McCarthy.
Patricia married John M. Buese on October 16, 1953 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alton. He preceded her in death on January 28, 2004.
She graduated from Marquette Catholic High School. She worked at Bell Telephone and later in the comptroller’s office for the City of Alton. She was a member of the Co-Ed club through YMCA, a member of the Daughters of Isabella and served as sacristan at St. Mary’s Church.
Patricia is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, John & Debbie Buese of Millstadt; two daughters and sons-in-law, Catherine Bechtold of Godfrey, and Polly & Gregg Clabaugh of Camargo, Illinois; four grandsons and spouses, Jack Buese, Michael & Elisha Bechtold, Jake & Angie Bechtold, Chuck Clabaugh; four granddaughters and spouses, Megan Buese, Kellie & Josh Crider, Becky & Greg Kincaid, and Ali Clabaugh and six great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by sister, Mary Frances Muenks and two infant brothers.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday June 10, 2014 at Staten-Fine Funeral Home in Alton.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday June 11, 2014 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alton.
Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Alton.
Memorials are suggested to St. Mary’s Church.
