Pansy M. Rodgers, 88, passed away at 2:15 pm Thursday June 9,2011 at home with her family by her side.
She was born on December 4, 1922 in Eddyville, KY the daughter of John S. and Dora (Bryant) Trimm.
Pansy enjoyed baking, but got the most joy out of spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her four children and their spouses: Wanda and Bud Postell of Andrews, NC, Curtis and Jeannie Champion of Granite City, Shelia and Walt Gleason of Cottage Hills, and Betty Torres of Bethalto; nine grandchildren: Darrell and Rita Gleason, Fred Gleason, and Andy and Tonya Gleason, Derrick Torres, Kevin Champion, Jeremy Champion, Teresa Postell, Lisa Postell, and Norman Postell; twenty-four great-grandchildren, one great-great-granchild; one sister: Shirley and Dick Webb of East Alton; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son: Bobby Banister, a grandson: Eric Postell, two sisters: Agnes Tidwell and Hazel Allen, three borhters: Preston Trimm, Curtis Trimm, and Doug Trimm.
A memorial service will be held at 4 pm Monday June 13, 2011 at River of Life Family
Church, 3401 Fosterburg Road, Alton, IL.
Memorials may be made to the family.
