Pansy Irene Hosfelt, 86, passed away peacefully to her heavenly home at 6:33 am, Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Cedarhurst of Bethalto.
She was born September 17, 1934 in Bernie, MO, the daughter of Alvin and Grace (Henry) Dalton.
On January 12, 1952 in Pocahontas, Ark, she married Bobby Hosfelt. He died November 3, 2007.
Pansy and Bob were truly a wonderful, kind couple, always ready to lend a helping hand or a real, from the belly, laugh. She was truly loved and will be sadly missed.
Surviving are a son, Bobby Hosfelt, Jr. of Dorsey; grandson, Bobby Gene; brothers, Gary (Jackie) Dalton of Brighton, August Dalton of Alton; sisters, Mickie McGee and Wanda (Chris) Amazich all of Alton; brother-in-law, Bob Lowe of Alton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Stephen Dale Hosfelt; and two sisters, Bettie Gaffney and Glenda Lowe.
A heartfelt, thank you for all the love and care that was extended by the staff and directors of Cedarhurst of Bethalto and many dear friends that held her in their thoughts and prayers.
Visitation will be from 11 am until time of service at 12 pm, Friday, January 22 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River. Scott Levan will officiate.
Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
