Pamela J. Johnson

Pamela J. Johnson, 54, passed away at 12:40 pm Sunday, May 8, 2011 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. 

She was born on January 28, 1957 in Alton, IL, the daughter of Sydney W. and Hazel M. (Farmer) Johnson. 

She has been with Chuck Hazelrigg for 28 years.  They meet on July 4th and he survives.

Pamela worked as a Central Processing Technician for St. Louis Children’s Hospital in St. Louis Missouri for 23 years. She was a member of the Evangelical Church of God in Alton.  She enjoyed motorcycles, sewing, dolls, fast cars and she was a mother to every child who wondered through her door.  She will be sadly missed by everyone who loved her. 

She is survived by her three sons, Justin Johnson of Alton, William Chance Hazelrigg and his fiancé’, Rachel Fletcher of Alton and Jonathon Hazelrigg of Freeport, IL; five grandchildren, Scarlett, Jozalynn, Chase, Sydney and William Chance II and her sister and brother-in-law, Paula “Penny” Wells of Bethalto

She was preceded in death by her parents, two infant children and a sister, Kitten Wheeler. 

A memorial visitation will be from 5 until service time at 7 pm Friday, May 13, 2011 at Staten Fine Funeral Home in Alton.

Memorials may be made to the 5 A’s Animal Shelter. .
