Norma O. Sutton, 88, passed away at 9:45 am on Monday, December 17, 2012 at Provisions Assisted Living, in Godfrey, IL with her family by her side.
She was born on February 11, 1924 in Yates Center, KS, the daughter of Noman and Eva (McGrew) Orcutt.
She married Bob C. Sutton on June 28, 1942 in Seneca, MO. He preceded her in death on September 26, 2003.
Norma was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alton. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, and her crafts.
She is survived by, a son and his wife, Ronald and Lindy (Laughlin) Sutton of Alton; a grandson and his wife, Ronald and Adria Sutton; a great-granddaughter, Amber Sutton; a brother and his wife, James and Janet Vannordstrand; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter in law, Karla Sutton; two brothers, Robert and Alex Vannordstrand; and three sisters, Alice Vannordstrand, Dora Trower, and Marie Feaker.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm, Thursday, December 20, 2012 at the Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am on Friday December 21, 2012 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alton.
Burial will follow at Upper Alton Cemetery in Alton, Il.
Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Lung Association.
